Copper Alloys for Floating Connectors
Backgrounds and Trends
As the purpose of floating connectors is to improve vibration resistance and assembly ease, they are used mainly as internal connectors in car audio and car electronics. They are also increasingly being used inside equipment where there are concentrations of circuit boards. As such, they require many superior properties including low profile, narrow pitch, vibration resistance, shock resistance, and thermal resistance.
Material Requirements
We are supporting customers at the design concept stage materials that can ensure high contact pressure (which approximates to high yield strength), good workability, and excellent fatigue properties.
